Fat is the last ingredient that helps with the absorption of curcumin. I have chosen Extra Virgin olive oil as it is our favorite fat use, but you can also select butter, coconut oil, or any fat you prefer.

This is not a cocktail you want to have during your evening out. But supposed to boost immune system, something pretty strong. And if you can not drink it for some strange reason, add a bit of honey or agave nectar and mix. You can also blend it into a smoothie with nut milk. If you like to consume it as a juice, add coconut water, honey and mix with the shot.
These immune-boosting concentrated shots can then be poured into little individual portion glass vials and stored in the fridge. The homemade ginger shot should last 4-5 days as long as it is properly stored in the fridge.

- 3 tbsp fresh turmeric root chopped
- 3 tbsp ginger chopped
- 2 small lemons
- 1&1/2 oranges (add 1-2 more oranges for added sweetness!)
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup coconut water if drinking as juice
- honey (opt) to your taste
Instructions
- Squeeze out juice from lemons and oranges for easy use.

Notes
- You may peel and grind lemon and oranges too along with ginger and turmeric (no juicing need here).
- You may add apples mostly for the taste! A little sweetness goes a long way to balance out the other fiery, pungent and sour ingredients in this recipe.
- Feel free to use turmeric powder instead of fresh turmeric root (if not available) in this recipe.
- You may add honey to sweeten.
- You can omit oranges if using apples.
- Use more oranges for more sweeter taste.
- Use more lemon for more sour and acidic taste.
